The Ã×Ó°ÊÓ7777¾Ã¾Ã¾«Æ· has been named to the highest tier of the Opportunity Colleges and Universities: Higher Access, Higher Earnings by the Carnegie Foundation and the American Council on Education (ACE). The tier recognizes UNA’s commitment to accessibility, return on investment, and upward mobility.
Christian Price, a doctoral student in the Department of Kinesiology, has been awarded a Fellowship through the Alabama Space Grant Consortium as part of a program funded by NASA. The aim of the Graduate Research Fellowship is to encourage talented individuals to pursue research and careers in Science, Technology, Engineering, and Math fields that support NASA’s mission directorates.
Art supplies will be headed to Uganda, Africa, thanks to the students at Kilby Laboratory School on the Ã×Ó°ÊÓ7777¾Ã¾Ã¾«Æ· campus. Around 100 pouches were filled thanks to the efforts of the Kilby students and donations from parents.
Heidi Armstrong, a sophomore majoring in Elementary Education at the Ã×Ó°ÊÓ7777¾Ã¾Ã¾«Æ·, has been selected to receive a scholarship through the Alabama Space Grant Consortium as part of a program funded by NASA. The aim of the Undergraduate Teacher Education Scholarship opportunity is to encourage students to pursue degrees that lead to teaching careers in science and mathematics.
Nominations are now open for the 2025 Class of the Greek Ã×Ó°ÊÓ7777¾Ã¾Ã¾«Æ· Hall of Fame at the Ã×Ó°ÊÓ7777¾Ã¾Ã¾«Æ·; the form, which can be accessed at this link, will be available until June 1.

The Shoals Music Archive at the Ã×Ó°ÊÓ7777¾Ã¾Ã¾«Æ· has officially launched, and organizers, along with local musicians and those in the music industry, say this initiative will create a new and revitalized way to interact with the region’s already rich and varied music heritage, both past and present.
